When it comes to those aged between 35 and 45, few people currently have wills in place, F&C Investments figures have shown.
In this age category, only 14 per cent are believed to have drawn up a will, while at the same time possessing a respectable amount of life insurance, the firm''s survey, which was compiled in collaboration with OnePoll.com, has revealed.
Meanwhile, 22 per cent do not appear to have either of these things.

People in Northern Ireland seem to have the least provisions in place, with as few as 5.5 per cent having good life insurance and a will.
"While some of the results of this survey are encouraging, there is a real need for people in this age group to sort their financial lives out," F&C Investments'' head of global wholesale and marketing Scott Stevens.
He believes that retirement planning may also be an area where some 35 to 45-year-olds are failing to make adequate provisions.
Remember a Charity recently suggested that the concept of video wills is popular among a number of people.
