We invite you to the next instalment of our Personnel Practitioner’s Forums in our Merlin Place Office in Cambridge. This forum will be based around Data Protection and will be presented by Guy Wheeler, a partner at Taylor Vinters. The forum will be held on Wednesday 22 February 2012.

Guy Wheeler, a partner in our Commercial & Technology Team, will provide a general update on data protection issues and in particular will speak about the following three topics:

• Employment records – what to keep, what to delete, and how long to keep HR records;
• Subject Access Requests – what is a subject access request and how best to respond to them, what information must be searched and provided;
• International Transfers – can you legitimately transfer HR data overseas, and if so, what are your options.
