The economic contribution made by the country's smaller firms should not be forgotten, according to one expert.

The economic importance of the UK's small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) should not be overlooked, it is believed.
According to business author and guru Sahar Hashemi, it is vital that further investment is offered to such organisations.
She stated: "I think our future is with them, let's not forget that SMEs contribute around 41 per cent to our national income. We should never forget their contribution."
Meanwhile, Ms Hashemi believes that the manufacturing sector in particular offers further room for innovation.
By focusing on creative thinking, the nation's businesses might still be able to compete with countries that offer cheaper services, the expert pointed out.
Chris Gorman, media and public relations assistant for the Forum of Private Business, has also recently highlighted the large impact that SMEs may have on the UK's economic recovery.
He has noted that smaller firms play a key role in a number of different industries.
