The organisations behind the CFE scheme are aiming to encourage farmers to turn their awareness of the campaign into meaningful action.

It is important that the country's farmers are encouraged to act upon the enthusiasm they feel for the Campaign for the Farmed Environment (CFE) scheme, according to the organisations who are behind it.
While highlighting the fact that many farm owners now appear to be aware of the purpose of the CFE initiative, a report from the partners running it suggests that proper action is now required.
Environment and rural affairs minister Jim Paice has highlighted the campaign's future goals.
He stated: "The key priority for the campaign over the next 12 months will be to ensure as many farmers as possible renew their ELS agreements."
Mr Paice added that each farmer should aim to undertake one or more environmentally beneficial action during this time.
The National Farmers' Union is one of the organisations that helps to operate the CFE, along with other bodies such as the Royal Society for the Protection of Birds.
