A number of charitable organisations in the UK expect to see more funding reductions in the near future, research has suggested.

Negative financial conditions will continue to have an impact on charitable bodies in 2010, according to 77 per cent of those charity heads recently surveyed by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO).

The NCVO''s chief executive Stuart Etherington has noted that many not-for-profit organisations are looking to continue to offer their existing services, despite the continued recession.

The NCVO''s chief executive Stuart Etherington has noted that many not-for-profit organisations are looking to continue to offer their existing services, despite the continued recession.

However, he also commented: "With donations already much reduced and the pressure on public spending, the voluntary sector is bracing itself for further, deeper cuts."

Meanwhile, the NCVO has recently announced the launch of a new campaign, designed to raise awareness of charitable giving.

The campaign, which has been given the title What Do You Believe In? is also seeking to emphasise the benefits of Gift Aid donations.ADNFCR-2386-ID-19498686-ADNFCR
