According to HMRC, the body has so far seen the online submission of around four million tax returns relating to Self Assessment.
However, it has also highlighted the £100 fine that may apply if people send in their forms late.
HMRC has also recently announced that businesses based in eastern regions of the country will be given the chance to take part in a Local Business Advice Open Day in Ipswich next month.
