Recent survey results published by the National Housing Federation have shown that a number of rural residents feel that their community may not currently offer enough in the way of affordable homes.
Martin Collett, operations director at the English Rural Housing Association, now believes that affordable housing waiting lists should be addressed.

Recent survey results published by the National Housing Federation have shown that a number of rural residents feel that their community may not currently offer enough in the way of affordable homes.
Martin Collett, operations director at the English Rural Housing Association, now believes that affordable housing waiting lists should be addressed.
He said: "Given the limited development in villages and their popularity with people moving to them, obviously house prices have been pushed beyond the reach of many local people."
Mr Collett went on to suggest that a number of rural communities may be at risk of disappearing, as people move away to other areas of the country.
Earlier in November, the Country Land and Business Association''s president William Worsley noted that rural housing developments can sometimes be disrupted by people''s proposals to register village greens.
