In spite of the recent financial climate seen in the UK, the country's social housing industry still appears to be quite robust in nature, it has been highlighted.
This trend should hopefully continue in the months ahead, according to Jonathan Walters, interim director of regulatory integration at the Tenant Services Authority (TSA).
He commented: "Housing providers are going through tough times like everyone else at the moment, but the sector has proved remarkably robust."
"It remains an attractive investment to the banks and bond markets," he continued.
The remarks made by the expert come after the publication of the Quarterly Survey of Housing Associations by the TSA, which relates to the second quarter of 2010.
During the three-month period of this year, the organisation believes that the sector saw new loan facilities totalling nearly £1 billion agreed.
England's affordable housing sector is currently regulated by the TSA, with the authority originally created back in December 2008.
