The UK and China are set to collaborate with each other in a bid to address various copyright issues, it has been confirmed.
Ministers from both countries have entered into a memorandum of understanding (MoU) agreement, with Baroness Wilcox, the coalition government's intellectual property minister, signing the document on behalf of Britain.
Intellectual property will be promoted through the agreement between the two nations.
Baroness Wilcox feels that piracy is another thing that the MoU could help to tackle and said she is delighted to have seen it come to fruition.
She stated: "This government is committed to helping British companies export and this agreement is part of efforts to help firms grow overseas."
This is not the only MoU which has been agreed by the UK government with another nation in recent times.
Last month, it confirmed the signing of an agreement with Kuwait which will focus on international security.
