Speaking after recent comments made by Conservative Party leader David Cameron about health and safety, he also suggested that there is currently less health and safety legislation to comply with than there was around three decades ago.
The UK''s Health and Safety Executive currently checks that companies are meeting the standards of workplace health and safety that are expected of them.
While aiming to ensure regulations are enforced, the body also seeks to raise awareness of safety issues.
