People should seek good legal representation if they are in the process of getting divorced from their partner, it has been highlighted.
According to DivorceAid.co.uk''s Christina Tait, it might prove useful for married couples to gain the advice of family law specialists before agreements are drawn up.
Ms Tait, the advice website''s founder and manager, commented: "You should have an accredited family law solicitor - not just a general high street solicitor who does a bit of the thing. It is a complex area of the law."

Meanwhile, when it comes to the issue of child custody, the expert noted that, in many cases, agreements are drawn up between parents without legal battles ensuing.
However, she did suggest that they might benefit from gaining legal advice when clarifying the living arrangements of children.
The latest divorce figures published by the Office for National Statistics have revealed that 2008 saw a total of 143,955 such separations in the UK.
