A number of firms in the east of England have already taken steps to tap into Indian markets, according to the UK's business secretary.

The UK's business secretary has noted the efforts that are already being made by some east England companies to take advantage of the opportunities provided by Indian markets.
According to Dr Vince Cable, exporting is something that more of the region's businesses might want to look into in the months ahead.
He stated: "In the last year, the east of England exported £59 million of goods to India, the world's fourth largest economy. But we are nowhere near our full potential."
The politician pointed out that in 2010 alone, India could see growth of anywhere between eight and ten per cent.
He made his remarks in relation to a recent trade mission to India that was led by the country's prime minister, David Cameron.
The government also recently revealed that the UK India Education and Research Initiative, which the UK and India operate, is due to be extended in the near future.
