A number of small businesses based in east England will soon be able to offer graduate internships, as part of a major new scheme.
The government-backed project will see £1.2 million allocated to those in eastern parts of the country, in a bid to create 770 intern positions.
Both the East of England Regional Development Agency (EEDA) and the Federation of Small Businesses are collaborating on the project, along with higher education institutions such as the University of East Anglia and University of Hertfordshire.

EEDA''s head of skills Alison Lys believes that the initiative could offer economic benefits to the local area.
"With this £1.2 million scheme, working closely with the universities and the Federation of Small Businesses, we will match the right business with the right graduate," she commented.
EEDA has also recently highlighted that a number of firms in east England may benefit from wind farm developments which are planned for the region in the future.
