It is important that the government does not rush its planned review of the IR35 tax which can apply to freelance workers, a PCG expert believes.

When they come to review the current system of IR35 taxation, ministers should take their time, according to one expert.
The PCG's managing director John Brazier feels that IR35 has posed problems for the likes of freelance workers in the past and, as a result, it is important that any review of the tax is not rushed.
"IR35 ... has been a blight to freelance workers for over ten years," he stated.
"It has caused great heartache to many people. The cost in distress has been high."
However, despite his opposition to IR35, Mr Brazier did go on to point out the potential opportunities that many people are now seeing in freelancing.
Working on a freelance basis can help people to enhance their lifestyles, the expert remarked.
The government's emergency Budget last week confirmed that ministers are still aiming to launch a review into small business tax such as IR35.
