People need to be aware of the forthcoming deadline for tax credit renewals, according to HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).
The organisation has confirmed that those planning to renew their claims for tax credits will need to do so by the close of this month.
Steve Lamey, director of benefits and credits at the organisation, has encouraged people to avoid putting off their applications.
He stated: "Don't leave it until the last minute - get it done now, and ensure your payments continue after July."
Those aiming to renew their tax credits in the coming weeks will need to tell HMRC about any of their details which may have recently changed, the organisation confirmed.
Last month, Mr Lamey also noted that new online videos produced by HMRC might offer useful information to consumers about the tax credit renewal process.
Guidance concerning the details that people need to submit as part of their applications are included in the videos.
