Many organisations operating in the country's voluntary sector now feel less confident about their financial prospects, research from the NCVO has shown.

A number of charitable organisations are feeling a lack of confidence concerning their current financial prospects, according to the results of a new survey.
Figures published by the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO) have revealed that the confidence level of those polled in its Charity Forecast Survey stands at -30 per cent when it comes to their own prospects.
Meanwhile, confidence is said to stand at a level of -80 per cent when it comes to their feelings about the sector's overall economic situation.
The NCVO's chief executive Sir Stuart Etherington feels that the government needs to adopt an intelligent approach when making financial cutbacks.
He stated: "It is crucial that the government continues to recognise and value the role that voluntary and community organisations play in supporting some of the most disadvantaged people in our society."
Meanwhile, in response to other government plans to consult the public on regulations and laws, the organisation's deputy chief executive Ben Kernighan recently welcomed the opportunities that the Your Freedom scheme could provide.
