A number of the country's operating charities do not currently have any reserve funding in place, the NCVO has revealed.

Many operating charities in the UK have not got any reserve funding to fall back on at the present time, one organisation has suggested.
According to the National Council for Voluntary Organisations (NCVO), as many as one in three of the country's operating charities may currently be in this position.
The body's chief executive Sir Stuart Etherington believes that certain community services may be put in jeopardy as a result of the existing situation.
He commented: "This really demonstrates the need for public sector funders to work with voluntary and community organisations where cuts are necessary, to make sure they are properly planned and implemented."
Charitable bodies that are in receipt of funding from the state only have a month of expenditure in reserve on an average basis, the NCVO research also found.
Last month, Sir Stuart voiced his concerns about voluntary sector funding cuts which are likely to have an impact in the near future.
