Renting is still proving a very popular option among the UK''s residents, despite more positive signs appearing in the housing market.
That is according to iammoving.com''s partner relationship manager Jon Brown, who believes that the likes of letting agents and landlords are likely to have an important role to play this year.
"As much as there has been a small recovery in the housing market, the majority of the UK public, while perhaps aspiring to buy a house, will still prefer to rent," the expert said.

Mr Brown feels that the popularity of renting could see the introduction of longer-term lets, with the UK''s property market potentially coming to resemble that which is seen in countries like Germany.
Last month, the Land Registry revealed that there was a 5.2 per cent rise in house prices between January 2009 and the same period of this year.
