The issue of climate change has been addressed in a new report produced by members of the government, in collaboration with a number of third sector representatives.
Those affiliated with the Third Sector Task Force are behind the Shaping Our Future document, which looks at some of the ways in which not-for-profit organisations might be able to have a positive impact on the environment.
Huw Irranca-Davies, the country''s environment minister, believes that the report is a good starting point for further sustainable action.
He stated: "It is a genuine effort to join things up better across the third sector and government with four departments, the Charity Commission and 16 third sector representatives all committing to actions."
The potential to develop sustainable public services is touched upon in the report, while members of the task force will now aim to encourage more people to respond to the threat of climate change.
British Red Cross and the City Bridge Trust are among the third sector bodies who are represented by members of the task force.
