Compromise agreements

Compromise agreements are legally binding agreements following the termination of your employment. It normally includes a severance payment by your employer and can include payment in lieu for the notice period. This is in return for your agreement not to make any claim against your employer to an employment tribunal.

An independent lawyer (that is one that is not representing your employer) must advise you personally on the agreement for it to become legally binding - which is where and how our lawyers can help you with the negotiation of terms and effects.
