Part of Taylor Vinters' flagship Commercial Property team, the Construction Unit is expert in contentious and non-contentious construction issues.

The Construction Unit is headed by Tim Hall and its work includes advising on terms of building contracts, consultants' appointments, warranties, bonds and guarantees. It also handles contentious construction work and disputes resolved either by litigation, arbitration or adjudication.

Recent work includes:

• Advising various Cambridge colleges on multi-million pound contracts for new student accommodation.
• Acting for the owner of Granta Park on development of the site.
• Handling a major piece of litigation for a developer involving a multi-million pound dispute arising from the sale of a large construction company.
• Handling adjudications on a wide range of issues

The Unit has a strong reputation for successfully using the adjudication process to solve contractual problems without recourse to expensive and lengthy court action.
