One of the options available to the owners and directors of a business is the concept of pre-pack administration. Under this arrangement, assets can be packaged and sold back to the owners of a failing business.
Such an arrangement must take place with the help of lawyers prior to the company entering into a formal insolvency process, but will be executed by an insolvency practitioner shortly after appointment. Pre-pack administrations can help with the retention of jobs and help secure returns to creditors.
